Blog #6: My circle

 Tatsushi Iwamoto

Hi! I haven’t seen you for a long time. This is Tatsushi. Today, I’d like to introduce my circle, Nozomi. It is sign language circle.

When I was junior and senior student, I played tennis, but I wanted to start something new in the university. So, first I decided to enter squash club. In addition, I was interesting in volunteer activity, so I entered sign language circle, Nozomi.

We learn sign language on every Monday and Tuesday after 6 p.m. At first, we studied many words of sign language every week, so it was very difficult for me to memorize all and I could not talk deaf person by sign language at all. However, I learned many words, so now I can talk such a person by it a little.

About 60 people belong to our circle now and the ratio of men to women is one to three. You may think we are very serious persons and even bore. It is not true! We usually hold a dinner and go to Karaoke. In addition, we go on a trip as one of the circle activities. It means Nozomi is ordinary circle like the others.

If you are interested in sign language, please say something to me!

     Thank you!

Blog#6: About My Travel in Hokkaido

MIori Yamaguchi

Hi, everyone!! How about your summer vacation? I'm sorry for being late writing a blog. Because now, I'm in Hokkaido for a trip, so, I couldn't make a dead line.
I will have been here for four days with my family. This is my second trip in Hokkaido. For the first trip, we came here in winter. But for this time, it is summer.
We went Northen Hourse Park, Lake Utonai, Zigoku-dani, and so on. I was happy taking a  hot spring bath set in the open which is the largest size in Japan.
Look at this picture! Isn't it so beautiful?
This is the flower garden which is in 'Farm Tomita' in Hurano. This region is very famous for lavender. We enjoyed watching its landscape. Because we going to stay here another two days, I want to enjoy more:) Thank you!

Blog #5: My Home Town

Tatsushi  Iwamoto

Good evening!

I’d like to tell about my hometown, Kunitachi. Do you know this name? Even if you don’t know it, I don’t care because this town is not famous.

Kunitachi is famous for nature. In specially, cherry trees and ginkgo trees are famous. During spring, cherry blossom comes out all together. Its beauty is beyond description. In order to see such a beautiful cherry blossom, many people enjoying blossom come.

I think I’m very lucky, because in order to commute my school, I had to pass this avenue every day when I was junior and senior high school student.

Ginkgo trees are also planted along this avenue, so during autumn, colored leaves are very beautiful, so many people come to see them. However, I don’t like it, because ginkgo nuts are stinks. I hate this smell, so during autumn, I commute to school by another route. Anyway, there is a lot of nature in Kunitachi except winter.

Seeing is believing, so I hope someday you visit to Kunitachi.

Thank you!
