blog#15: Kotatsu

Hello, guys.

These days, it gets soooooo cold and we don’t feel like going out, do you? jajaja
I feel particularly cold this winter. But we don’t need feel fear of it because we know magic item escaping that coldness. Yes!!!  It’s a Kotatsu. Japanese people can't live without the kotatsu for heating in winter. I surely think the Kotatsu is most wonderful invention in the Japanese history. Foreigners might not be able to see how to use it at first, but once they go into it, they will be head over heels in love with a kotatsu for sure. Watching TV while eating tangerines at a kotatsu is one of the happiest moments in winter.  Owing to the Kotatsu, Japanese people can get over cold winter as same as Russian people drink vodka in winter.

Did you already bring out the Kotatsu? if you don't bring out, you must do it as soon as possible, or everythihng is going wrong!!!

Hi, everyone. Long time no see!
Today, I'd like to write about illumination. I live in Shinmatsudo. Do you know? In these years, my town holds illumination festival in every winter. This is the poster of this festival.

In every year, the Christmas lights give the shopping area a fantasia effect.

People in Shinmatsudo votes for the most beautiful building in this town. And the group who won the championship can accept a gift.

This is the house which won last year. This is the private house. Isn't it so beautiful?

This is also a personal house. It is said that this house is being seen as a possible winner. In every this season, my town becomes more beautiful than other seasons. So, I like winter.
I like watching  illumination. So, I'll go to Disneyland on Christmas day!!! I'm looking forward to go there:) What will you do on that day? Do you like watching illumination? Please tell me!!

Blog#13: Saudi Arabia

Tatsushi Iwamoto

Hi! Good morning!

Today, I’d like to write about Saudi Arabian student’s living. The reason why I decided this topic is that I made many friends who come from Saudi Arabia. They were really good person.

At, first I’d like to write about Saudi Arabian education system. Saudi Arabian school system is composed of 6 years of elementary school, 3 years of lower secondary school, 3 years of high school and 4 years of university like Japanese system. Compulsory education includes elementary school and lower secondary school. This compulsory education system was established in 2004. In addition, in recent years, over 95 percent of all children enter elementary schools.

Saudi Arabian students’ live is completely different from Japanese students’. Students have to go to school from Saturday to Wednesday and Friday is holiday. Thursday is also holiday, but most students ask teacher a question or play sports. Class starts at 9 am and finishes at 5 or 6 pm in lower secondary school and high school. For 1 day, students will take 7 or 8 lessons. School does not have special rules, so some students wear Tube, traditional wearing in Saudi Arabia and some students grow a mustache. In Saudi Arabia, there are no cram schools, so after school or on holiday, most students play soccer or basketball or stay their houses all day long. Students have summer and spring vacation, but each has only 15 days.

Saudi Arabia is really interesting country for me! I want to know more!

we almost did nothing at here : (  We threw a lot of stone to ocean. I guess that's all!

After that, we want to Ulutoraman musium. But non of us were interested in Ultraman,
so we went to here only for banter.

We went to the amusment park name Tedori fish island. In this place, the amusment park and
aqarium were in same place, so we enjoyed a lot!!

The most svere event was the way to Tokyo. At this time, the typoon was exactly hit the Kanto area,
