Blog#14 About Illumination

Miori Yamaguchi
Hi, everyone. Long time no see!
Today, I'd like to write about illumination. I live in Shinmatsudo. Do you know? In these years, my town holds illumination festival in every winter. This is the poster of this festival.

In every year, the Christmas lights give the shopping area a fantasia effect.

People in Shinmatsudo votes for the most beautiful building in this town. And the group who won the championship can accept a gift.

This is the house which won last year. This is the private house. Isn't it so beautiful?

This is also a personal house. It is said that this house is being seen as a possible winner. In every this season, my town becomes more beautiful than other seasons. So, I like winter.
I like watching  illumination. So, I'll go to Disneyland on Christmas day!!! I'm looking forward to go there:) What will you do on that day? Do you like watching illumination? Please tell me!!

  1. Hi Miori,
There are not really illumination displays like in Japan in Canada, but lots of private homes are decorated with Christmas lights. They are quite pretty and give a festive atmosphere to the town.
I spent Christmas with my family in Canada - we have no snow so far and it is not cold, according to Canadian standards.
