Tatsushi Iwamoto
Hi! Good morning!
Today, I’d like to write about Saudi Arabian student’s living. The reason why I decided this topic is that I made many friends who come from Saudi Arabia. They were really good person.
At, first I’d like to write about Saudi Arabian education system. Saudi Arabian school system is composed of 6 years of elementary school, 3 years of lower secondary school, 3 years of high school and 4 years of university like Japanese system. Compulsory education includes elementary school and lower secondary school. This compulsory education system was established in 2004. In addition, in recent years, over 95 percent of all children enter elementary schools.
Saudi Arabian students’ live is completely different from Japanese students’. Students have to go to school from Saturday to Wednesday and Friday is holiday. Thursday is also holiday, but most students ask teacher a question or play sports. Class starts at 9 am and finishes at 5 or 6 pm in lower secondary school and high school. For 1 day, students will take 7 or 8 lessons. School does not have special rules, so some students wear Tube, traditional wearing in Saudi Arabia and some students grow a mustache. In Saudi Arabia, there are no cram schools, so after school or on holiday, most students play soccer or basketball or stay their houses all day long. Students have summer and spring vacation, but each has only 15 days.
Saudi Arabia is really interesting country for me! I want to know more!

Are your friends in Japan? If so, what do they think of Japanese school life?
And, what does the Arabic in the top photo mean?
