Tatsushi Iwamoto
Hi! Good morning! I am Tatsushi. As I wrote in blog 7, I spent 6 weeks in Toronto. In blog8, I’d like to write about my best friends in Toronto.
While I was in Toronto, I commuted to language school and in the school I met so many people came from all over the world and made friends with many good people.
At first, in the first class in the language school, I met very good guy. His name is Malac. He comes from Saudi Arabia and 22 years old. He is very funny person, so he usually made me happy. Saudi Arabian cultures were very interesting for me. For example, his farther has 4 wives and they live in same house, so he said I had 15siblings. In addition, during the lunch time, I often went to restaurant or fast food shop with him. However, during August, he never ate anything and drank even water in there. At first, I was surprised to see it, so I asked him why you did not eat anything. He answered I believed in Islam, so during August during the day I had to do fast, so I could not eat or drink anything. These are not common in Japan, so they are interesting for me. This picture was taken in September.
Nest, in my class, there was one shy girl. Her name is Lea. She comes from France and 19 years old. In France, she is second-year student in the university and her major is law. She was very shy like me, so we could become a good friend. Her favorite phrase was “oh-la-la”. When I heard the word at the first time, I asked her what the word meant. However, she said “oh-la-la” meant “oh-la-la”. She likes beer, so we usually go to pub near the school after the class.
I met more people including Japanese in the school. Now I miss them! I want to go many countries to see them.

You looks very fun and happy!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at his fasting.
But I think you are lucky bacause you could learn many another countries' cultures!!

Hi, Tatsushi!
ReplyDeleteYour stay in Canada is very good for experience!!
I went to England to study English, and it is also good experience for me.
I want to go to Canada or Australia next time :)
Ooh la lah! This is a very popular expression with French people - it means oh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteYour trip sounds like it was a lot of fun and you certainly must be a lot more fluent in English. What a great opportunity you had. Did you go downtown much? There are so many things to do there and great places to eat. I ate a lot of pho at Vietnamese restaurants around, but my favourite one is on Spadina, near Queen Street. It is called Pho ai my. If you go to Toronto again, I certainly recommend it.
